WORLD’S BIGGEST COFFEE MORNING – thank you all so much for your generosity. We raised an amazing €556.68 at our MacMillan Cancer charity event on 30th September.
CHRISTMAS FAIR our ever popular fair was held on Saturday 19th November in Pibrac. We were lucky to have been offered a central location this year with both indoor and outdoor space. Your usual TWIG favourites were there: books, homemade jams, white elephant, crafts, raffle and there was plenty to eat and drink in our café, on the British Goods stall, at the fish and chip van and at the bangers and bacon grill. Thank you for your support in raising money for our nominated charities.
The three charities who were voted by members at the AGM to benefit from the 2016 TWIG Christmas Fair are IJA ( Institut des Jeunes Aveugles de Toulouse ) who support young blind people locally to integrate into normal school and everyday life, MSF ( Medecins sans Frontiere ) who bring urgent medical help to those who need it around the world and Trisomie 21 a charity in Toulouse which supports those with Down’s Syndrome and their families.
The Committee have been busy planning the BIRTHDAY FIZZ – this year we are inviting you to join us on Monday 27th February from 12.30 at the Sadourny Café at the Teoula Golf Course in Plaisance-du-Touch. Please send your menu options and cheque to Sally Burridge by 20th February.
